If in doubt I usually gravitate to the proven contested ball winners, Tyson, Michie & Dunstan would appear to be the most viable options.

Tyson should be good for 80+, he's already 3 years in the system and has some soft opponents in the rookie window. Ditto Michie, although I give the points to the former.

Careful with Aish, he's a first year player and can be very outside. His SANFL form was good without being spectacular and Brissie have a very tough early draw.

Dunstan I also like, but he's a first year player, one can't expect miracles.

Polec is the wildcard in the pack, if his preseason form is anything to go by, he's in for a stellar season. My issue with these outside types is that practice matches don't necessarily reflect reality, close checking is a rarity and the pressure will only be intensified. He's also very one-sided and it remains to be seen whether the opposition has truly exploited this weakness. For now, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, he's in my side but will probably warm the bench in the first week.

Ellis is in ripping form and is a must, I'm starting him on the field because he's a proven commodity. West Coast have a terrific early run so there's little to lose. I expect 80+ from him, at least up until the byes.

So if you're running with 3 rookies on the field , lock in Tyson, Michie & Ellis. The fourth is a raffle, but if in doubt I'd closely monitor the opponents and make some educated guess.
