Is JKH a lock for round 1?

Playing in the VFL this week so that could be worrying.

Why?
Dees don`t play until next week and they could be just getting some game time into him

You could be right, just seemed a bit odd to me

In terms of how the teams travelling:

Updated prediction -

B: Alex Georgiou      James Frawley        Lynden Dunn

HB: Jack Grimes       Tom McDonald      Dean Terlich

C: Jack Watts           Daniel Cross         Jack Trengove

HF: Jimmy Toumpas   Jack Fitzpatrick    Sam Blease

F: Jay Kennedy-Harris   Cameron Pedersen    Jeremy Howe

R: Jake Spencer       Dom Tyson       Nathan Jones

I: Jordie McKenzie      Viv Michie       Bernie Vince

SUB: Jack Viney

EMER: Matt Jones, Max Gawn, Shannon Byrnes

Kennedy-Harris should play. Would not take much notice of him playing in the VFL this week, as I gather it's just a match fitness thing.

Howe plays taller (given all three of our power key forwards should be out), meaning an extra mid rotation should come in. McKenzie I believe will be the one, which allows Cross to avoid any tagging duties.

Cam Pedersen comes in as a forward, which strengthens Alexis Gergiou's chances of a Round 1 debut, so long as Garland doesn't recover suddenly.

Byrnes comes into the emergency list, given the lack of goalkicking options available. (Could come in if they want another one- as could Bail)

Gawn becomes an emergency, as he steps up his fitness.

I'm hoping like all hell that one of the 3 power forwards will be available  :-\

Unfortunately, I reckon Bail is a chance instead of say, Blease. I'm not a fan of Bail, but he has had a better pre-season if my memory serves me  :(

Still hoping Hogan gets up, doubtful though.

Don't mind Bail... too much. Rushes his decisions and his kicking isn't the greatest, but he's definitely got the talent.

Haven't followed the Dees through the preseason much but what happened to Jack Viney? Seems like he should be fairly secure in the 22 or is he injured, not on the injury list?

Just had a couple of minor injuries, had concussion a few weeks back, he would have played sooner but our VFL side's fixture doesn't start till this week, so he hasn't had the necessary match practice.

Might be rushed in this week, but I would put my money on a round 4 return.
