Frawley v Pittard

Hi guys.

Just try to find an argument to support one over the other into D4 - or another $330ish player that I've missed.

For the first time ever I'm having a good look at a couple of mid pricers.  I don't recall such a good range of them before.  Maybe it's because of the premium rookies this year.

Finding myself thinking along the lines of - for a few bucks more I can select a bloke who has already had a few games, has already made a spot for himself in the team, has some runs on the board - poss better JS.

Very interested in hearing your thoughts on these 2 mid pricers.

Sorry while I'm at it - Webster v Bugg at D5.  I'm leaning towards Webster but what are thoughts on Bugg?

For D4? Probably too weak in defence IMO, at least get Suckling there

Backs at the moment are:
Mitchell, Malceski, Scotland, Pittard, Webster, Macdonald

I feel at the moment that they will start me with the 500-550 /wk

The rest of my teams is pretty strong with room for growth (rough estimates give me about 2150 for the first few weeks)

But as you quite rightly point out, my back line isn't the strongest

I'd prefer Grimes or Swallow over Scotland, but if you could get enough cash, Hurn is only like 30k extra and should be right up there with the top defenders at the end of the season.

Suckling >>> Pittard > Frawley

Webster > Bugg

Id go pittard over frawley.

Agree with needing to get suckling in, ive gone for a mid priced backline as well but have 2 premiums then pittard, suckling, webster and rooks. Dont mind the backline you have is except scotland, would either upgrade to hurn/simpson/hanley/shaw, or downgrade him to suckling.

thanks mate.  I've gone with Swallow over Scotland and like the look of it.  I think I have enough PODs in the rest of my team to make a difference.

I never enjoy the head to head weeks where you only have 2 or 3 different players to decide the winner.  'choke'

I'll continue to stare at my team regarding Suckling v Pittard/Frawley.  I've also got Langford on my bench (till R1 selections at least) so Suckiling would mean 3 Hawks in the backline. (not likely to score well for a few of their games - no ball in the backline??)

Dmac - I downed Hanley to Scotland to put Zorko in Fwds.  Always robbing Peter to pay Paul!
