Mids- Barlow, priddis, Murphy, Beams, Treloar, Thomas, Tyson, Michie (C Beams, Honeychurch)
Rucks- Hampson, Sandi ( longer, Thurlow)
Forwards- Danger, Le Cras, Gunston, Mckernan, Hogan, JKH (Taylor, Kersten)

$360K left for up grades to more prem mids between round 5 and the bye rounds.

need some prems in the mid now.   upgrade one of barlow, et al, drop treloar.
le cras is risky as well.  need more firepower in fwds.
if you set the team up with prems and rooks you can upgrade in r 5 or sooner.
problem with 300-400k guys is lack of consistency.   you want get the money to upgrade your team.

and you will have to dump guys like treloar, hurn, hampson, lecras.    Gunsten might be good value

Don't want to upgrade before round 5. I've made these picks backed on the draw LeCras and priddis may not be keepers but the eagles have a great draw to start with. Barlow is a prem and Treloar will be!
I think my biggest risk is Hampson but I gotta take at least one

Not sure on Hartigan or hogan. Any other suggestions?

You dont have enough elite players who are keepers

You have
Def - Bartel, Mitchell & hurn
Mid - Barlow, Beams
Ruck - Sandi (who has injury history)
Fwd - Danger

Total = 7 - and a couple of those could finish outside the top 10 for their position

This means to get to a premium team you need to upgrade at least 15 players - you have only 30 trades which wont be enough.

You should be aiming for at least 12 keepers to start with  then you only need 10 upgrades

I'd go back to the drawing board

Whilst I appreciate your strategy J do not think you have really thought it through with the limited trades we have.  30 trades overall.  Given that getting prems in by upgrading traditionally averages between 1.5 and 2 trades with downgrade/upgrade you will quickly run out of trades as I see only 7 of current team as possible permanant keepers which means trading to get a best 22,

I am going to rate your team by each line-
Def. The only I am n ot confident, here is Hartigan  not sure he will be getting games
Mid; no premiums here only potential ones who do you  choose as captain as this is where you will get outscored if Ablett or Pendles score highly each week so you will need to get one if not both
Rucks There are much better picks than hampson
Fwds if you are going for an eagles fwd go with Darling otherwise go with Dusty


This is a well below average team I would boost tnis team I give it a 4.75/10
