who to go for? im worried if i go rockliff that he will 100% draw the tag every week as who else would they bother tagging? also ziebell is that bit cheaper, but i guess rockliff is more of a proven performer?

if it helps this is my current midfield:

ablett, pendlebury, liberatore, ziebell, d.beams, d.thomas, dunstan, michie (polec, ellis)

Rockliff will be in our teams for years to come regardless of being tagged.  All the guns get tagged and have their off games, but Rocky will have a higher consistent score than Ziebell thats for sure.

Rockliff

suits it for your bye structure
Ziebell's too inconsistent
are you aware of a guy called Rich? he takes the number 1 tag for Brisbane

lock him in, don't even think about it

Hanley will probably also get a tag. Rocky won't get tagged by the best tagger unless Rich/Hanley are injured/

Yep, unless one of these guys are injured or a team uses 3 taggers, can't see Rocky copping the tag much (if at all) this year.

and don't forget Redden (although he's a contested ball winner I could see him attracting a tag for turnovers) & Zorks (if he hopefully plays midfield). If Simon Black was still playing he'd be a greater lock than some of the kingpins. Also who knows what Mayes will accomplish this season  ;) Wingard occasionally got the tag during his 2nd year

Tbh, I don't see Reddan getting the tag ahead of Rockliff, and Zorko probably won't spend that much time in the midfield but my attract a forward tag.

Ziebell could become a huge POD but you cant gurantee, but with Rocky you can gurantee 100+ every week lock him in

Rocky and Cotchin are very similar as they are somewhat inconsistent until they run on their famous hot streaks (Rocky's 2011 and Cotchin's 2012 ones were incredible). Rocky showed us last year that he still has it whilst Cotchin injury in R5 pretty much ruined him.

This year we all need to pray that they both have year long streaks, if they can do that they'll easily average 120-135. Cotchin is too good value to turn down but Rocky's price tag leaves him in a questionable area. In the end it all has to deal with people's expectations. Ziebell could be a good POD but he is too inconsistent to compete with Rocky and he has never actually maintained a consistent hot streak. I think people would be better off going with Cotchin or Libba (a bit riskier than the former) tbh.

StuL

Don't pick guys on the basis that they might be good. Pick them because they are proven, so Rocky.

Ricochet

Rocky easily mate. Ziebell misses too many games for me and Rocky could be one of the best scorers in this game
