Hibberd I have had locked from day 1 and I really hope he gets up but if he is not named rd1 then Simpson replace him

At this stage I am going with Cox over NicNat because I have been burnt so many times starting a player who has had an interrupted preseason - they always come back to bite you, so I am starting Cox because his the most proven ruck and has had a ripping preseason. Sandi will turn into NicNat, well that's the plan as long as he shows he is fit and firing

Yeah Mitchell is a POD, and as said I can swap him to Buddy with a minor rookie tweak elsewhere - will make a call on that in the coming weeks

I have no doubt this team will change another 10 times but what do you guys think about the original team posted vs this team?

DEF: Mitchell, Hibberd, Hanley, Enright, McDonald, Laidler (Langford, Langdon)

MID: Ablett, Pendles, Watson, Beams, Thomas, Michie, Polec, Ellis (Dunstan, Robertson)

RUC: Cox, Sandilands (Derickx, Nankervis)

FWD: Dangerfield, Martin, Mitchell, Pavlich, Rohan, Kennedy-Harris (Lloyd, Kersten)

I have taken Suckling out now and gone with Cox over NicNat

One of Hibberd, Hanley or Enright can be swapped for Simpson

Jobe can be swapped for Rocky or Libba

Mitchell can be changed to Buddy

Not overly exicted about Rohan but should play regularly and be a slow burn cow

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Obviously bench rookies are pending who gets named

If Hibberd is fine to go in round 1, then defence is alright, may struggle to have enough playing defence rookies though. I guess we'll see when the round 1 teams are named :P
Mids are good, no complaints at all
Cox should be a top 5 ruckman, solid choice and will probably be a POD looking at other teams on this site
Forwards look solid, almost the exact same as me, but I have Buddy over Mitchell atm (although that spot has been taken by about 10 different forwards over the last few days haha)

Pretty good team overall, with a few good PODs (Enright, Hibberd, Cox, Mitchell). As long as you have enough defence rookies playing, should be fine.

Def - Hibberd hamstrung - start Simpson : safer. Suckling so much upside - seriously . Laidler, Langford, Langdon lack reliability.

Mids - as good as it gets in my opinion. Watson is a luxury I can't afford.

Rucks - The old Sandicox - maybe the last time they'll start Can't argue with it.

Fwds - Your Achilles heel - and for a reason I know. I am warming to Walters. Pav will be rested. Just you wait and see. Mitchell could be even better but lots of Swans like him and they share the points around. A keeper - not likely.

Rookies are what they are, but I doubt you've spent enough or set enough aside to cover for the almost certain need to put more onto your benches - unless you are happy carrying a few donuts off the field.

Wonder if one of these guys - Enright, Waston, Mitchell might need to go to fund a general 'lower order' upgrade.

I think the reality is, theres probably no point even playing around with the team anymore

Rookies who do and don't get named rd1 are probably going to have the overall say on how I structure up - and the split first round is going to make things really challenging

Nice team mate the right added balance on all lines I like the cox for ruck 1 position. Overall real strong
