Troy Menzel i think will play a significant role at carlton this year, the depature of eddie betts will help him and he should avoid the vest.

I can see him averaging 70+ this year at $227,300 can someone tell me what average he is priced at and what he would have to average to increase his value by 100 - 150K??

Cheers guys!

priced at: ~43 average (similar price point to McGrath, his average is that)
earn 100k: ~60 average (used Yarran)
earn 150k: ~67 average (used Cameron)

Thanks mate went to give you a cheer haha

I can easily see him averaging 67 which could make him a very nice stepping stone

He kicked 2 goals in every game he played last year (except for when he started with the green vest and in Rd 23 against port). Definitely looks classy and should be able to average around 67, like you say. However his scoring is heavily dependent on his score board impact, when he doesn't kick 2 goals, (Rd. 23 2013) he puts out weak scores.

Better options out there would like to see him get a few games under his belt first.

Around his price bracket? like who?

I dont think there is anyone with better JS at his price

pommyadam

except his scoring's been damn awful in the NAB (43 off 74% TOG average over the 2 games)
also think there's probably better value in Nahas at a similar price

not sure this is the year. not guaranteed best 22 atm

Was hoping to see more from his Nab matches, maybe next year.

I have high hopes for Menzel, however Buckley has stood out more in the NAB.

You would think Menzel will fill the Betts role, but it think he could get closed down by defenders.

I spent a bit more and went Smedts, who is moving into a half back role.

If he was less than 200,000 he would be a lock but I still think he'll be in my team round 1
