Ziebel - worth the risk?

Anyone think he can hold a M3 position?

Looked really good against the blues, and I love his tackling.

Currently have GAJ, Pendles, Rocky and Beams as M1-M4, but thinking of swapping Pendles for Ziebel to free up $170k cash.

Thoughts? :-\

I had Ziebell in, then out to fit in Pendles and now after his first NAB performance the Bull is back in.

Having Gaz, Pendles and Ziebell is asking for trouble during the byes. I figure that Ziebell will increase in value where as Pendles is super consistent and he will be around the same price come the bye period so planning to get him in after his bye.

Bye is the main issue.

I want the top 2 SC scorers in my team for the whole year.

I want the best bargain of the year in my team (D Beams) too.

That's 3 round 8 mid keepers already.

Add another and I would be asking for trouble.

Agree with the doc here if it were not for the fact that Gazz and Pendles who again will be the top 2 scorers in SC and Beams who will end up being in the top 5 imo and a must at his price I would consider Ziebell but my structure would not suit 4 Round 8 prems with a bye.

Not quite sure I'm prepared to take that punt.

I've currently got Ziebel in my line up, but as M4... Gaz, Pendles, Jobe, Ziebel, Beams, Rookie, Rookie, Rookie (2 x Rookie)

Ziebs is at that price where I reckon he will avg over 105 etc I reckon, shame he shares a shower BYE but I believe you should all have Ablett, Pendles and Beams and that's it for that particular BYE round..

I love how he plays, a ripping prospect. I won't be starting with him this year, however I did last year haha. He has a lot of potential to go big, but the worry is the aforementioned obstacles in selecting him.

Will improve but not enough to justify picking him, he will be like mundy/fyfe

You won't want to keep him all season and its a waste of a trade.

I'm a north fan and he is my second favorite player, but not on my radar in sc even if he had another bye.

Worth a look in dt though.

I'm considering him for M4, but his bye is a concern. The others I'm considering are Murphy or Shuey. Shuey is the best option from a bye perspective and his price actually puts him in M5 and would move Beams into M4, but it's heard to ignore Ziebell's first match even if it's just a practice match.

Has his performance last night changed peoples minds on him 61 SC for 72% TOG with young Langford giving him a night he would rather forget or just NAB so pay no attention ?

It has kinda put me off. Last night he played a shocker. Is it a sign that if he gets tagged he CANT handle it. Cause teams may start paying attention to him now

Only fielding 7 Rd. 8 bye players at the moment, and that's the way I like it. Gives me heaps of flexibility going in to the byes. Were I to take another he would have to end up being top 3 in his position to make it worth while for me. Cheers. :)

I have six at the moment, and may reduce that to 5.

Thats a good ratio for the byes mines the same it's just that I noticed a lot of people were quick to jump on him after his first game think they might be jumping off just as quick
