After DCAK's advice

tor01doc

CotchOUT - Pendles IN.

Love your defence and rucks.

A lot of expensive ''rookies'' in mids.

A little short up front - but maybe that is how you roll.  :P

You'd have to think one of Martin or Wingard would be worth a start.

Good luck.

Ewoks

Yeah problem is trying to find playing rooks, looking around and it seems this year you have to pay a premium for ones with any sort of shot  :-\

I can go: cotch -> pendles, tyson -> thomas and c.beams -> honeychurch

tor01doc

I like that mix better.

We prob all have to compromise somewhere to start with rookies in the $150 - 170K range this year.

Ewoks

Must be a repressed memory but I cant remember struggling to balance team this much last year, really not liking the forward line but I cant see where I can make cuts

tor01doc

Last year we had a lot of cheap rookies and guys like Macaffer, Staker (a bit later), Leuenberger, and Vlastuin, Mitchell, O'Meara etc.

This year we got Higgins.

Ewoks

lets hope he can get his season total of 10 games all in rounds 1-10.......at least that's what I'm gambling on

Hi bud, I like the look of your team and it's good to see you went to the effort of uploading a pic of your team.  Here's my thoughts on your team:

DEF:                     Really good, I'll just point out that Georgiou is rookie listed.

MID: Strong, but... Have you considered who will be your captain in wk 9? Your current mids have the following bye weeks:
                            Ablett {8}, Pendles {8}, Rocky {10}, Beams {8}, Daisy {9}
                            what I would consider to be next cab off the rank is Danger (fwd/mid) - who has wk 8 bye

                            Also, I would only pick one of Sheed/Ellis - they may be a 'handcuff' for each other so no good. I'd go with Ellis

Ruck:                   Great, maybe after the Swans v Giants game Derickx may be the better R4 option than Nankervis?

FWD:                   I don't like that you've gone with 3 KPP setup (Buddy/Pav/Tomahawk) KPP's are prone to hot/cold games,
                           I prefer DPP forwards (Dusty/ Wingard)

                          Also you have a poor bye structure on your fwd line:
                          Danger {8}, Buddy {10}, Pav {10}, Tommy {8}

                          Also, you can't seriously consider Higgins. How did he go the other night? Oh, that's right, he didn't play!!
                          Until he does play he is an absolutely NOT

For these reasons I think your team requires some tweaking.  Best of luck for the season!

Bashing my head on the wall here it seems don't like my options

I can go:
Pendles/Sheed/Hawkins/Higgins/Georgiou/Nankervis -> Griff/Polec/Dustbin/Garlett/Langdon/Derickx

but then I'm having to play Fasolo and one of the rooks in the fwds doesnt help the fwd bye structure either

Ewoks

considering going dusty -> wright (with Van Berlos injury reckon he should get his run with role) and Fasolo -> Caddy

RaisyDaisy

Even with Motlop and Christensen out I still don't think Caddy will go beyond a 75+avg

Very nice team mate, love the structure and balance on each line - some real strong PODs too
