JKH will play round one- has more talent than the 2 players you mentioned and looks a replacement for Davey.

As a dons fan I like what I saw from Merrett- could be a spot for him in round one ahead of Jetta/Kommer in a small forward role or more likely as the sub.

JKH, Ellis, Dunstan and L.McDonald are locks. Still watching to pick the rest.

I'd stay away from Zach Merrett. He's a long way down the pecking order and the only Essendon draft pick to have been worth considering over the supercoach years was Dyson Heppell.

Long shot, but keep an eye on Eli templeton at the saints, i think another senior spot has opened up after an injury, and he was impressive in the first nab game. Looks like a long term replacement for Stephen Milne

Hard to come up with a top 6.
McDonald clear#1 rookie at this stage. Locked in. Reasonably confident about next 4. Hard to get a 6th for Top 6.
Has Fraser Thurlow been upgraded to playing list...I think he has with Bellchambers injury...or maybe I just thought it.

I've had Jack Martin in my team all pre season but have just taken him out

Yes he has incredible reviews and will most likely be a star, but at 220k, and more importantly that skinny frame I just don't think he will be as good as JOM was from a SC perspective. JOM was 100k cheaper and built like a man

We always allow a few corrections trades after rd2-3 to get the right rookies, so I will get him if his killing it, but I really do think he will start slow so I'm using the extra 100k from not getting him elsewhere

Only 5 must haves currently:

DEF: McDonald
MID: Michie, Ellis, Dunstan
FWD: JKH

From the Lions I can see (and hope) one of Cutler (DEF) Robertson (MID) and Bourke (FWD) get named which will help us all

Other then that hoping Kersten, Langdon, Hallahan or Langford get games

I'll just cross that bridge if I get there :) I'm sure I will start a Mid Price/Prem POD who will spud up so can downgrade if possible. Happy to burn 2-4 trades over the first 3-4 rounds on corrections if need be (But hopefully I don't need to! :) )
