Although there are quite a few good cheap options in the forward line this year i still can't look past starting one of these big fellas, so if you had to choose 1...gun to your head..and please give a quick explanation as to why.

Thanks, look forward to the feedback.  8)

I will be waiting til later in the season because I can't decide which forwards to pick up. Could make an argument for all 3 but personally I would probably say Roughy. Benefits from not having buddy in the team but also moves up the order to be tagged. NRoo has gone well for a few years now but age, knees and a rough outfit at st kilda all count against him. Petrie went really well last year but iirc that was his first 'big' year... too hard to pick really so I'm not going to ;)

Roughy then Petrie then Roo.

Roughy is just a quality player and enjoys the limelight with no Buddy. He has taken the best defender in his absence many times so I don't see this as a problem.

Petrie is also quality and overlooked. If North improve again (which they should) I see no reason apart from injury for him to not maintain that average. He will be inconsistent though, but that's a KPP for u.

Roo is a champ but don't be surprised if Saints win the wooden spoon. A lot of floggings are on the cards which doesn't help SC scores.
