Hi all, just wondering if anyone has any info on Matera re pre season training, intra club matches and 2014 position......

Is he going to play as a half forward or is he a part of the Midfield brigade at GC? Potential POD if he gets decent midfield time, could he do in 2014 what Matthew Stokes did in 2013?

Nah he's a natural small forward and there's too many in the mid rotations at GC.

I can't see him sneaking into GC's midfield anytime soon. Can see him being more of an impact player and not the most consistent player going around. Give him a couple of years and I think he'll become much more fantasy relevant.

Won't play midfield. Will live at half forward

Matera in hot form for Suns

BRANDON Matera is over his injury concerns and looks set for a big season if Monday's Gold Coast match simulation is any indication.

The clever 21-year-old played predominantly on-ball and got a heap of touches while some of his bigger name teammates watched from the boundary line.

Just wait until the "bigger names" are back in the park and it's back to a forward pocket for Brandon.
