In an ideal world, where injuries don't exist, your premiums don't lose form and mid-pricers do their job...
...how many trades does our team require to complete your team?

I figured my on-field rookies would grow to $300-350k (depending on how much I like them, or $400 for Martin, his pass mark at $222k!), I could make 6 rookie downgrades throughout the year on my bench to net me $200k each (give or take), and being able to buy Pendles for $650k, premium forwards and defenders for $450k (already have Dangers), Sandi and Hawkins to be a straight swap each... Whatever estimates you like really, your guess is as good as mine.

Barring all the inevitabilities in SC, where do people think 16 trades lies? I was thinking dreaming at around 16 at this stage last year iirc, so I'm guessing its around par...

Would love to hear peoples' thoughts on how many trades they think they'll require!

Good thread, I was waiting for someone to bring this up, I'll give my thoughts soon haha. Just posting so I'm notified.

Most people will be starting with around 12 keepers. I would say the majority of your upgrades during the season will require 2 trades, so to get to 22 keepers, that would be 20 trades.

It is very hard to estimate - Depending on the number of Mid Pricers you class as keepers. Eg Those taking risks with players that may break out and don't will require extra trades.

Teams should have 12/14 keepers when setting up teams and as GL says to upgrade requires usually 2 trades so you would be looking at 16 - 20 of your 30 trades to complete. But as we know nothing is ideal and we will run out of trades unless we have a horseshoe, rabbits foot and four leaf clover to increase our luck.

Ok, I made an edit and changed 19+ to 19-20 and added 21+, not sure if that makes a difference or not

yeah if everything goes smoothly probably 20 trades or so....but then ya get rookies that get dropped and don't max out or injuries which really eat into your trades pretty quickly if ya not careful

Anybody who can get their best option team in a season is doing bloody well. But being idealistic I agree with the 2 trade per prem theory and that would mean in my case 26 trades. 26 because in a perfect world it would be nice to sit one on each bench but without that 18 would be the go. Cheers.     :o

i am starting 13 keepers ... does not include the likes of suckling thomas sandilands and atm have 201k left over so could be 14 keepers starting yet

ideally planning on 22-24 trades for full squad ... allowing 6 for injuries and corrective trades(think that is too optimistic though)
