Only just started back with the main group and is only participating in skill based drills. Wouldn't have thought he would be ready for round 1

Just on R.Shaw and McVeigh - Didn't Macca go backline as Shaw was out? Will Eski and Shaw be the rebounders, allowing McVeigh to go back to the mids/fwds rotation like say Bolton who has retired?

If this happens I see a 5 - 10 point drop from 105 to 95/100 (more like what he's been scoring every other season playing mid/fwd). Have been very keen on him from the start, but if he changes role I don't think he'll match last year's output as the HB role helped his scoring. Better as an upgrade.

He's a great player and in his prime, will lead from the front BUT I doubt there are enough mid points to go around.

Walker is another I like, but again it depends on him getting that same HB role.

What do u guys think? Especially Swans/Blues fans?

I can't see McVeigh's role changing much from last year. I think he'll stay as a Mid/Half Back as it suits him more then going forward. I think Sydney have enough Mid/Fwds to cover the loss of Jude.

Ok What happens to Shaw and Eski?

I guess depending on Sydney's structure and needs etc, I could almost see Shaw missing out once Eski is fit and firing. Just can't see McVeigh's told changing too much that's all.

Speculator

May I be blunt? Shaw is not fantasy relevant, not even at that price.

I think Sydney were very satisfied with McVeigh in defence. They now have a quality user of the ball down back who also won the B&F. And you are right, they have a plethora of MIDS, add Tom Mitchell and Parker minutes to the rotating centre group and they will cover the loss of Jude and be able to keep McVeigh on half back.
