Is there anyone considering Jack Watts? Thinking about him as my F5 or should I go another mid-pricer like Jed Lamb, Higgins or someone else around that 375K mark? I have $375,100 remaining so you know.

Forward Line is - Dangerfield, Martin, Franklin, Pavlich, _______, Fasolo - Bock, Weardon

Edit: could also go Josh Caddy for 20K cheaper!

I am actually considering him, but more in DEF than FWD

As am I. For me it's 2 of Watts, Suckling and Swallow.

Speculator

I expect this year to be the year to pick him.

starz

i reckon he will somewhat 'breakout' but to what extent. the unfortuante thing will be though becuase he is going to run through the mdifeild if he does start playing well he will probably cop the tag as they dont really have anyone else to tag apart from vince and jones and i reckon watts skills are bettter than both of them.

definite pick that makes or breaks the year.

Speculator

Id expect a midfield tag to be easier to break than when he copped the defensive forward as a defender. He is quit tall so shod be able to out mark most taggers ala fyfe. He'll go better than last year but I think he is more of a supercoach pick.

starz

yeh i think your right about the supercoach thing. i reckon he will most likely be a wait and see as well becuase he might take a while to adapt to the midfield. i just want to pick him cause i want to see him do well

henry

I've got him as a defender currently, not completely sold on him by any measure though at this stage. He certainly has potential and this could be the year with a new coach and a new role that he puts his stamp on the competition like a no. 1 pick should. He is a big risk, though i see enough to like

Spinking

I don't think he can be a top 10 def or fwd scorer, and probably not cheap enough to make to consider as a cash cow. Only think that might twist my arm is the lack of other good mid priced defs.

Windigo

Will be interesting to see what Roos does with him.

Indeed. Roos needs to be proactive with him. Move him deep forward for 5 minutes for example if a Crowley goes to him. Needs to utilise his marking ability by creating much ups that the other team doesn't want etc. rather than just let him rot like neeld did.

Ricochet

Has been ruled out of the scratchy today with the flu which is disappointing. Wanted to see where and how he played.
