Here is some video of yesterday afternoons match simulation. McGuane took some strong marks so may get a shot at the CHF Position. Not a lot to come out other than Beams got through a fair bit and did some nice things.
Aish showed some good signs as well.

For GL Brownie did a lot of the physical work but did not take part in the match simulation.

This is where names on the back would help, as I could not recognise a lot of the players. Except for Harwood in his hat, who looked to be involved in most of the plays when it came down his defensive end. He was looking quite sharp :)

Ringo

Thanks HB that is why I posted would be handy for we who do not know away teams.  If you observed any others PM me the number and I will tell you who they are.

I must say, Zorko looked alright there, might need to give him some more consideration

And thanks for the info on Browny, with this (likely) being his last year, hopefully he can get back to full fitness soon and kill it this season :)

Ringo

Ssh on Zorko although been talking him up since first training session I attended.

BB67th

Do you think Zorko is destined for more midfield time?  He played the small forward role so well last year and I don't know if there is room for him in the engine room?

Ringo

No BB reckon him and Green will play the small forward roles andd try and lock ball in forawrd 50 (This was obvious by both at the simulation)  So expect that role to continue with more intensity.

Easy enough just to check on the Lions website who wears what number. You are right that McGuane took some strong marks up forward

My beef atm is that the Lions Website has not been updated with this years numbers eg Numbers for Drafteess are still shown as 99.  Here is the list of missing numbers for your info

#4   James Aish
#18 Nick Robertson
#25 Daniel McStay
#26 Tom Cutler
#27 Darcy Gardiner
#28 Lewis Taylor
#34 Jonathan Freeman
#40  Isaac Conway
#44 Archie Smith
#47 Zac O'Brien

I do rate Zorko highly but without plenty of midfield time I just can't see him producing the stats he would need to average 100+ and be a viable fantasy option. As a small forward he does it all. Tackles, pressures, kicks goals but if he doesn't kick 4 goals every week then he isn't going to score well in that role.

Jack Crisp and Nick Robertson doing some nice things in the video. Any chances they could be seen early next year i know Crisp played a few games last year or was it the year before but where does he stand for this season?

Ringo

Robertson will have some stiff competition though for mid positions from Beams, Ash, Mayes and perhaps Wearden for 2 positions.

Crisp may be a smokey for some games but he also faces competition from Close, Paporone, Lisle, Paine.  Little shorter than these guys but a handy replacerment if Zorko or Green get injured.

Noz

I saw a few bits in the video where Crisp was playing a bit in the middle and from what I've heard he spent a few games as a midfielder last year in the NEAFL.

Ringo

Crisp did spend quite a few games in the midfield in the NEAFL in an attempt to increase his versatility. So he will be a valuable player in the next few seasons.  Will be used similar to Zorko and Green imo.
