Defence Rookies ?

I have Rhyce Shaw currently but still uncertain, he is under priced from past years scores and his JS is more solid that a vest risk rookie.

I'm surprised that Rhyce isn't on more peoples radars

what are your thoughts on a premo as D1 (mitchell/mcveigh/bartel) and 4 mids (D2-D5) like atley/williams/smith/suckling and 3 rookies (Mcdonald/laidler/fuller)

atley/smith with more mid time & williams/suckling?? if all can avg 80-90, you'd only lose a bit of points in the backline but can trade em out after the byes. plus you're only playing 1 rookie on the field.

I'm actually thinking of doing that (although I'm including Swallow in that D2-D5 position to the list you've mentioned).  It is a little risky, and not overly bye friendly, as for me the leading contenders for D2-D5 are largely Bye 8 except Suckling (assuming you mean Brodie Smith and Marley Williams).

personally i just want the nab to start so we can get some idea of the fresh meat and finally end the question of whether we can start 2 rookies or not .... pulling my hair out ... lets get the game going :)

so far its either kolo or mcdonald on field for me

Strong backline for me as well this year, always find it the most difficult to upgrade so starting with 4 keepers plus suckling, still need 3 rookies though and even that is looking like a bit of a struggle!

Exactly this ^^^
Cant complete my team until i know how much i need to spend on rookies.
Either D4,F4 or R1 are hinging on rookie allocation
