First-round draft pick Josh Simpson completed today's training session despite coming off the track for treatment and favouring his right leg.

The 19-year-old, who had been granted leave from training over recent weeks for family reasons, at one point asked for strapping below his knee at this morning's session at Fremantle Oval.

He rejoined training, but lasted no more than half an hour before heading into change rooms.

The teenager would later return with heavy strapping to take part in a match simulation exercise.

Anthony Morabito continued to be left out of the end-to-end drills as Fremantle remain cautious with his rehabilitation from three knee reconstructions.

Stephen Hill and Colin Sylvia ran laps and did not train with the main group.

Hill has been eased off due to calf tightness, while off-season recruit Sylvia continues to build himself up to the required conditioning standards under coach Ross Lyon.
