Huge SuperCoach news here everyone!!!

Our inside word was that SuperCoach was set to open on February 1st. It has instead just been confirmed now that it will open on the 30th of January, being next Thursday!

There are also some other big changes announced. Here's a brief rundown of them.

- RIVALRIES - You don't have to be playing another team in a league match to follow their score against yours. Nominate a rival and take them on head-to-head every week if you want!

- PLAYER COMPARISONS - Load player stats next to each other at the same time to easily compare between players when looking at which star or cash cow to trade in.

- BADGES & REWARDS - A new series of awards with a dozen categories such as top score in your league or being on a winning streak. These will be added to your team page.

- PLAYER CARDS - Mini profiles of players wherever they are listed on the site. (I imagine you hover over the player and their info comes up)

- SUPERCOACH DRAFT CHANGES - A few changes here such as multi-player trades and lots of new options in creating your league such as squad sizes and bye rounds.

- MOBILE APP - The mobile app will be completely free this year on iPad and Android. The app will include SuperCoach Draft and SuperTipping.

- SOCIAL MEDIA LINKING - You will now be able to link your Facebook and Twitter feeds to your private leagues coaches box to make sure that everyone knows who you are beating each week.

So no major changes to the SuperCoach rules this year, but plenty of fun new features to explore when the game opens in 8 days!

Some good news there.

I especially like that the rolling lockout is here to stay, that it will still be best 18 players during bye rounds.

Really like the new SC Draft options too with multiple player trades and the option of having no matches during the byes. It was so hard to field anything that looked like a team in Draft during the byes last year.

I tanked round 13 and managed to win my other two. The draft game was very limited last season, especially when you compare it to other fantasy draft games (NFL is the one that instantly comes to mind)
