TEAM NAME: Magpie madness
DEF: J. Bartel, S. Mitchell, P. Duffield, J. Watts, M. Suckling, S. Docherty (J. Laidler, J. Tippett)
MID: S. Pendlebury, J. Selwood, J. Watson, D. Beams, J. Martin, J. Kelly, L. McDonald, P. Cripps (D. Garlett, M. Honeychurch)
RUC: A. Sandilands, B. Grundy (D. Currie, T. Derickx)
FWD: P. Dangerfield, D. Martin, C. Wingard, P. Chapman, P. Karnezis, B. Lennon (J. Impey, L. Taylor)
CASH LEFT: $6,900

Not convinced on 3 of the last 4 forwards. I guess will have to assess in pre season. Taking a punt on Watts as will play up the ground a bit and assuming Suckling is ready by round 1.

Let me know what you think.

Ringo

Solid team.

Couple of interesting selections in Watts and Duffield.

Def: Docherty - will he be in Blues 22 some concerns there so maybe use McDonald in defence and use cash elsewhere.
Mids: Think it a risk with martin at M5 and relying on 4 of 6 mid rookies playing each week.
Ruck: Still not sold on Grundy as Pies No 1 ruck. (Why have Pies kept Hudson) Only played a handfulk of games and going into 2nd year.
Fwds: OK.

Def: good depth. Like Docherty if he can get games. Starting to like the look of watts myself. Duffield under performed last year and may bounce back, but I'd rather swallow, grimes, Seedsman at that price.

Mids: probably one premium short, and you may want to look at some better rookie options.

Rucks: A set up I've considered, but changed because it didn't fit my bye structure. I like it and think it can pay off.

Fwds: Not a big fan of wingard. Not very consistent, doesn't score well in a loss. And a lot of his scores from memory are greatly inflated by game changing plays in final minutes of close games, not something you want to rely on happening each week. More of an upgrade target for me.

Decent side mate, good start, cheers :)

Hi bud, here's my thoughts on your team:

DEF: Good, like Duffield as POD, good risk on Watts.  Not sold on Docherty for reasons already mentioned by Ringo.  Also don't like Laidlers chance of breaking in to Swans team, I think they signed him as a depth player.

MID: Strong up top, not so strong second line, there are some good high price rookie level options - but you have only Martin.

RUCK: It's ok, lacks a premium.

FWD: Very strong, I like it.

I give you 7/10.  I suggest you send McDonald to DEF and buy some better MID rookies/cheapies (Michie, Tyson, Beams)

Best of luck mate.
