SUPERCOACH 2014 ATTEMPT

I have spent the last couple of days considering what my strategy would be for 2014. Last year I think I relied on people I hoped would increase rather than pick the people who I knew would. So this year I have figured that I want to stack my midfield, and defence (to a lesser extent) and go in to the season with a weaker forward line as this is where I feel the value of mid ranged players is at.

MY TEAM:

DEFS - J.Bartel, J.McVeigh, S.Mitchell, M.Suckling, K.Kolodjashnij, L.McDonald (D.Gardiner, M.Fuller)

MIDS - S.Pendlebury, J.Selwood, J.Watson, D.Hannebery, D.Beams, D.Thomas, J.Martin, D.Tyson (V.Michie, A.Morabito)

RUCS - N.Naitanui, A.Sandilands, (T.Derickx, D.Currie)

FWDS - P.Dangerfield, L.Franklin, M.Clark, J.Patton, T.Boyd, J.Hogan (S.Kersten, L.Taylor)

Of course rookies are not even close to being set in stone but these are the guys I think right now are closest to being picked. Also I have bolded and italicised the players who I don't consider to be necessarily there at the start of the year.

I am not a fan of picking players who are injury prone but Mitch Clark is too good to pass up at that price. The other injury prone players is Sandliands and he is definitely not set in stone but due to the stacked midfield I didn't really have a choice.

atm i think the right structure is 1 starting rookie in defense unless we get some good rookie options

Patton and Boyd is risky because if ones have a quiet game they will prob get subbed off

besides that it's ok

Def: Seems ok just need to watch which rookies are playing well and get named in the starting 21
Mids: Even though Hanneberry is a good unique pick other picks seem to be OK..
Rucks: Standard
Fwds: You need someone like Dustin Martin or Pavlich at F3 maybe Nathan Bock instead  of Jonathon Patton  to get that premium someone needs to go

Overall  Team has weaknesses up forward you need to strengthen that line by getting in a   3rd potential premium  maybe downgrade acouple of your highlighted to get that player. Give it a 7/10
