Pretty happy with this, very 'bye-friendly' in my opinion. My only concern is my midfield looks a bit weak with Murphy at M3 but with the increased rookie prices it's been hard to do anything about it. People might think the Nic Nat/Sandi ruck combo is too risky, so I've got Ben Brown ready to swap into the forward line for Charlie Dixon. I'd love to know everyone's thoughts, really want to improve this team anyway I can. Cheers!

J. McVeigh, A. Walker, S. Mitchell, M. Suckling, K. Kolodjashnij, L. McDonald (T. Cutler, M. Fuller)

G. Ablett, S. Pendlebury, M. Murphy, D. Beams, D. Thomas, J. Martin, D. Tyson, C. Beams (L. Dunstan, J. O'Rourke)

N. Naitanui, A. Sandilands (B. Brown, T. Nankervis)

P. Dangerfield, D. Martin, C. Dixon, L. Franklin, J. Billings, S. Kersten (D. Garlett, L. Taylor)

Remaining salary cap: $8,800

I really like the team mate I reckon it looks strong all round only thing I can say is your top 3 forwards all have a round 8 bye haha

DEF: looks good, though i dont think its worth spending the cash on those expensive rookies. 8/10
MID: could do with another super premium but otherwise good. 8/10
RUC: perfect 10/10
FOR: not convinced on dixon but useful MPP, would also much prefer the likes of fasolo and bock rather than billings. 8/10

Looks pretty decent mate.

With the Murphy dilemma, downgrade Franklin to Clark if you still want the Dixon DPP and upgrade Murphy to a Round 10 mid such as Watson/Rockliff etc. You need 2-3 of each bye player in each line and you're thin on premiums for Round 10.

Other than that looks pretty standard, some good unique picks, little risky with two rookie defenders and I'm not 100% sold on Billings but that's just me.

7.5-10 mate, best of luck for 2014 :)

Thanks for the feedback guys, made two major changes: Out: A. Walker, S. Kersten - In: R. Henderson, M. Clark

J. McVeigh, S. Mitchell, R. Henderson, M. Suckling, K. Kolodjashnij, L. McDonald (M. Fuller, J. Battersby)

G. Ablett, S. Pendlebury, M. Murphy, D. Beams, D. Thomas, J. Martin, D. Tyson, C. Beams (L. Dunstan, J. O'Rourke)

N. Naitanui, A. Sandilands (B. Brown, T. Nankervis)

P. Dangerfield, D. Martin, C. Dixon, L. Franklin, M. Clark, J. Billings (D. Garlett, L. Taylor)

Remaining salary cap: $10,900

Didn't fix the two rookies at D5&6 or the Murphy problem at M3 mate.

Also not sure on your pick of Billings, don't think he will do that great. Fasolo/Higgins etc are much better picks.

Would've kept Walker and Kersten and instead downgraded Dixon/Franklin to Clark allowing the cash to allow you to upgrade either Murphy to a super premo and McDonald to an average defender, or vise versa.

I'm confident in the abilities of KK and McDonald, of course it's too early to know for sure, but I'm thinking both will be in their respective teams round 1 and should both do well. McDonald coming straight out of a great year in the VFL, while KK is dominating pre-season up at GC. Both play SC friendly games as well.

Billings is the most likely to play 22 games out of them in my opinion. Fasolo on the fringe and will be fighting for a spot and is always going to be a sub risk. Higgins is a great injury risk and will most likely be eased into AFL by being sub/subbed. Saints are really lacking a classy half-forward who can go through the midfield so I think he should slot straight in personally.

I'm not really looking at upgrading Murphy at the moment, one of my biggest locks. I'll just have to become content with him at M3. I wouldn't be complaining about it if he had his starting price of 2011 ($639,000). M3 would have to come from Daisy or Claye Beams. That would need a major restructure of my team to make happen.

Solid team with a couple of uniques.  Obviously no comments on rookies at this stage but you need to ensure most are playing from Round 1.

Only concern I have atm is expecting 2 rookies out of 4 to play each week in defence. See what you can do here with a little rearranging.

mate i am going the same 2 rookie backs for now, and feeling very comfortable with it ... in saying that im sure that is something we will both be looking in some preseason action
Differences with my team: shaw/waters/simpson vs your mitchell/henderson/suckling

neglecting the advice about not having a round 10 premium is a mistake mate unless u are willing to burn trades to do so which is just a waste
Differences with my team: watson/ellis vs you tyson/claye beams

same rucks

I am a fan of billings also but we have to see him get on the park at the saints ... would definitely prefer him over the suggested higgins (who i doubt will play round 1 anyways) and fasolo is kinda yuck

for now i am preferring hogan over clark but could change

differences with my team: chapman/motlop/boyd/hogan/lennon vs your martin/dixon/franklin/clark/billings

decent team like
