Brett Deledio - Richmond Tigers
Position: Midfield (very unlikely to get D/M DPP, but he did play a little down back this year, but not enough to warrant DPP IMO).
Fan Planner Price:$554,300
Bye: Round 8

2013 Average: 103
Tons: 12
2013 Games:22

2012 Average: 116
Tons: 19
2012 Games: 22

Verdict: Deledio was somewhat disappointing in 2013, struggling with the tag. This resulted in Deledio's average dropping by 13 points. But, Deledio should bounce back in 2014, as he continues to develop and learn to deal with the tag. No doubt he's a fantasy star, as you can see by his scores last year. He is very durable, only missing four games since making his debut and he kicks more than he handballs, meaning he will score well in SuperCoach if he can rack up the disposals. Normally Deledio is a consistent scorer, but this year he had some massive games (163, 143, 141, 140, 131) and some disappointing games (46, 64, 73, 73, 75, 75). These scores are simply unacceptable for a guy you will pay well over $500k for. If he can work out how to beat the tag, then at $550k he is slightly under priced and he is someone you can rely on to post a good score nearly every week.

2014 Predicited Average: 110-115

Was the first year he had ever really copped heavy tags so it was probably expected to see him struggle at times.
My worry is that hardwick and Deledio himself have seemed to enjoy when he gets tagged because it frees up Cotchin and Martin. Deledio was just using it as an opportunity to go to an opposition mid and take them out of the game if he was being tagged so it basically created a double kill. Frustrating for super coach scores but effective for winning the midfield battle.
I wouldn't get him for this reason. He's a very skilled and smart footballer capable of breaking tags but for as long as they are happy for him to just play a defensive role when he gets tagged he's not fantasy relevant

Hasn't he been copping the #1 tag for quite a few years??  ???

He was named on the forward flank on the teamsheet quite a lot, any chance for FWD? Know positions dont correspond to possessions but just curious.

I'd say he's more of a chance for DEF, went back there quite a lot so could be a sneaky look. I can't remember him playing forwards at all really!

No he only moved into the midfield in 2012 remember. Usually had someone playing a defensive forward role on him before that but not the heavy tags he copped in 2013

Interesting unique to have. Hope he gets DPP but very unlikely. Don't think he will be in my team.

Cotchin.

Sabretooth Tigers

 :)
The year before last Beams was priced at 550k after a season averaging 100, Lids averaged 103 and if Fanplanner is right is still a tad underpriced at 554k. Don't think he can go worst than this season but do think he can improve. The obvious question is how much and is it worth the punt. IMO it is, especially as he won't be a popular pick. Definitely safe to score to his dollar value and a damn good bet to increase substantially, turns 27 next season and could very well be approaching his prime. In my team ATM in preference to Cotchin but may go for both.  ;)

Dayze

Has plenty of upside and will improve.
But so many shocking scores u just can't have that from Ur midfield prems.
Like Murphy can't handle the tag and won't risk him till he proves he can.
Round 8 bye aswell
