ST KILDA has dumped Ahmed Saad from its primary list as he awaits judgment from an AFL tribunal over a doping charge.

The Saints' move was forecast by the Herald Sun last week after Saad appeared before the tribunal.

The tribunal may take several weeks to deliver a written finding on the Saad matter.

Saad, 24, has admitted to taking energy drink "Before Battle" from supplements company Viking Protein on a match day.

really unfortunate circumstances but the Saints had to do this.

St Kilda said today it would continue to support Saad and could rookie list him depending on the tribunal finding.

lets hope we can do this :)

A shame as Saad was probably the pick of our developing small forwards. Hoping Schneider has a few more years in him...
