The worst thing is that atm it's only really an issue for brisbane- sydney have the cost of living increase, gws/gc the expansion club increase, the WA/SA/VIC have as many kids coming back as leaving (in general).

That's what I'm getting at. You should push for a Brisbane-only adjustment rather than something which unbalances the entire competition

Remember we had that but due to Eddies whining about it (now happening with Sydney) we lost it after our 3 peat so have behind the eight ball ever since.  So if we get this allowance and then win premierships will we lose it again.
So can understand pushing for something else that is sustainable and not continually open to challenge.

The sydney one needs to be adjusted, but it shouldn't be removed, it's significantly more expensive to live in sydney than any other australian city.

Anything given to brisbane will be under debate, since it's a qualitative move, and can't be quantified.

But why wouldn't you want to live in Brisbane? :o

Mr.Craig

If I was employed by a company but decided to move interstate I wouldn't want my soon-to-be-former bosses dictating where I was going to live and work based on what benefited them the most. On the flipside, I am getting more and more frustrated with the lack of respect players (and clubs too) are showing towards contracts. Do they mean anything these days? It's a bloody free for all.

In this case Polec was out of contract and I see no reason why he shouldn't have the right to determine his future path, regardless of how long he'd been at the Lions or how many games he'd played. However if he had still been under contract I would have expected him to suck it up and perform to the best of his abilities for his employers.
