Profile

Crouch had an incredible start to his AFL career, exceeding all expectations and would have been a gimme for Rising Star if it hadn't been for the freak O'Meara. After a solid start in his first few games a hamstring injury threatened to derail his season and he was relegated to the SANFL for a handful of weeks. However from Round 14 onwards he dominated, averaging an amazing 26.6 disposals, 5 marks, 4.7 tackles and 100.4 DT. Having already signed a contract extension he will be a focal point in the Crows midfield for years to come.

Given Brad has been on the list since 2012 and exposed to the increased training loads expected at AFL level for quite some time I don't expect there to be the same "second year blues" effect that many young players experience. Considering his form in the second half of 2013 there's a legitimate argument for saying he is under-priced and while it's a stretch to imagine he'll push up into the top 10 mids he could turn out to be an interesting POD at some point during the season.

Prediction: 94-98.

kids a dead set gun

expectations i think were high but agreed he exceeded them very happy to have him at Birmingham Bombers future perma Captain

great write up Mr C

Ricochet

Geez he killed it after Round 14. Don't reckon he'll improve much next year but it won't be long before he's pumping out a 100+ average for an entire season

Memphistopheles

If I was going to take a risk on a second year midfielder Crouch would be the one, not O'Meara.

Awkward price so probably won't take him but could be a great smokey.

Players wise JOM might be a little better but DT prospect-wise Crouch is the winner in my books.

Agree with this. Future star but bit risky in season two, and better value, safer options available.

Don't think I'll ever get a second year midfielder, lol I think I got rid of this guy at round 14.

Tominator

I'm more keen on his brother   ;)

Ricochet

We could be seeing both of them in the same team now

I can sense an odd occurrence, had a blinder of a first year at a big club which is unusual in its self, the extra pre-season no doubt

after his third pre-season, I do honestly think he can go 100+ next year, so consistent and a big mans body already, we know he can play, he tackles well which = points, he'll start doing more with the footy like he did at Westies last year, let his little bro get all the handballs :P

Wasn't sure on sharing these thoughts but now they are out there! Take the punt, get on this machine  8)
