Not a very kind draw at all with playing Richmond, Freo , Geelong , North and Gold Coast twice,

Only consolation is only 3 day breaks (one a 5 day break) and onl;y travel to Adelaide and Perth once..

Good to see 2nd bye is a split round.

No real blockbuster draw apart from Carlton to increase crowd numbers.

Great for Melbourne Supporters with 5 games in Melbourne and one at skilled.

Overall comments very tough draw especially playing Collingwood, Freo and Geelong in last three rounds.

Geelong at the Gabba again should be a ripper

Not a fan of the quality of teams we're playing twice, but I'm quite happy that I should actually be able to go to a few games this year.
I think that there are about 15 or so genuinely winnable games, but a lot of them could go either way, depending on which Brisbane turns up.

BB67th

Not an easy draw. Expecting probably around 8 wins next year with this draw and a new coach.

After studying the draw in detail it is not a very kind draw to us and Leppa will have his work cut out in his first year as coach.  Hope this is taken into consideration when review is undertaken as I can only see 8 or 9 wins which is less than last year. It is unfortunate that we play 3 of the teams finishing in the Top 8 last year twice.

Could be a few upsets along the way that may propel us up the ladder. Similar to last year really horror draw to start and finish with. Gold Coast at Metricon is not a gimme for us any more either.

Thats a tough draw :( Hopefully we can make a few upsets

CLUBS YOU PLAY TWICE
North Melbourne, Richmond, Gold Coast, Fremantle, Geelong

PROS They get 12 games in Queensland, including a Friday night slot, as well as an Anzac Day game in New Zealand.

CONS The Lions are forced to play a lot of footy against some seriously good sides in 2014 and the start and finish to their season is particularly difficult.

HIGHLIGHTS Their round five match against Richmond on a Friday night as well as their Anzac Day clash against St Kilda in Wellington.

TOUGHEST RUN The Lions will have their work cut out for them to pinch a single victory from their last four games of the season. They face Adelaide at the Gabba, Collingwood at the MCG, Fremantle in Perth and Geelong at Simonds Stadium.

TRAVEL The club only has to make the long-haul trip to Perth once and while it plays St Kilda in New Zealand, that's actually only a 3.5-hour flight. The Lions will also play one game in both Adelaide and Launceston.

GAMES AGAINST 2013 TOP 6 Eight games - Hawthorn, Geelong (twice), Port Adelaide, Sydney Swans, Fremantle (twice), Carlton

GAMES AGAINST 2013 BOTTOM 6
Seven games - Gold Coast (twice), Western Bulldogs, Melbourne, GWS, West Coast, St Kilda.

WHAT THEY SAY "At first glance the fixture looks quite challenging, with return games against three of last year's top five teams. But, to be honest, we won't shy away from the challenge because if we're going to improve, we need to be able to compete against these top sides."
