Zac Smith: Gold Coast Suns

D.O.B: 22/2/1990 (Age 23)
Price: ~300,000 10% Discount possibly
Position: Ruck

2012
Games: 16
Average: 58

2013
Games:8
Average: 63 (Un-subbed: 68)
Scores:

Summary: Another North(ish) Queenslander! As a lad, Zac focused on indoor soccer, and did not play AFL until the age of 16, when school mates convinced him to play. Smith had a disappointing year this year, getting injured against the Western Bulldogs in round 8.

Verdict: I won't be starting with him, he is way to inconsistent for my liking. He'll score 100 one week, then 30 the next.

Richo's Predicted Average: 70

stew42

I think that predicted score could be higher. It depends on how much the ruck role will be shared around. Main contenders are Nicholls and Dixon. Entirely plausible that GC could play all three, as the Swans do (Mumford, Pyke, Tippett).

wouldn't exactly call Tippett a ruckman though, just a tall forward that can fill in in a pinch

would consider as an R3 (with the likes of Sandi/HMac as R2), but depends on price and NAB scores (ie how much Nicholls and Dixon affect his scoring)

true....
but like i said though, wouldn't really make the starting side, but could be a great bench option if he gets reasonable scores (given the discounted HMac/Sandi being my R2)

2013 line: Goldy/Krooze, Leuey, DPP R/F, Daw
2014 potential line: Premo, HMac/Sandi, ZSmith, Rook

also interestingly, did poorly (with the exception of GWS) when Dixon scored well - it's that damn 2 ruckman stealing points dealy again

Ricochet

Surely ZSmith still has it over Nicholls for the moment??

I won't be starting with him. HMac and NicNat are locked for me

Colliwobblers

certainly not starting with him no matter what, but i agree he has to come back in as the #1 ruck at GCS ?

Is there an NAB in 2014?  :o
