Welcome to the backline for 2014 Heath.

Think of all those cheap kick in's to himself every game for GWS next year, should get a bit of midfield time too.

Locked in.

Agree, you'd have to just about lock him in if his nab cup form is up to scratch.

what if he does a ablett ;P

the ball should be back there alot, and they will look to him. the only issue is he will obviously take then umber 1 tag. thing is when your kiling a team do you still try to tag guys like shaw or just let them do what they want as you win by 50 points.

Good teams will keep to their structures and continue to do their jobs assigned to them at the start of the game. It's the reason they are up by 50 points so they continue to do so.

GWS will win a few extra games next year IMO. They'll have a good ruckman in Mumford who will give them every opportunity for first use, then have added a very solid rebounding defender in Shaw who will almost certainly roam up to a wing or into the centre square. I still see Shaw being good for an average of 100, which almost definitely puts him into top 5 defender territory. He'll be seen as a leader, and I can see him relishing that role at the fledgling club.

I'll be getting him, and I think that the question is not simply whether you get him; but whether or not you start with him.

-Hasn't played 20 games in a season since 2007
-Can't handle a hard tag (think the Monfries game etc) & will be #1 tag option.

Don't think I will.  A new club might change his role but old habits die hard.

Barely a good choice when at the Pies, at a spud club? no ty
