#7 Nathan Fyfe - Fremantle Dockers

Name: Nathan Fyfe
Age: 22 years
Team: Fremantle Dockers
Position: Midfield
Bye: Round 10

2013 Low: 68
2013 High: 138
2013 Average: 106.47
2013 Pre-Bye Average: 111
2013 Post-Bye Average: 95.45
2013 Finals Average: 112.3

Fanplanner Price: $569,800

Predicted average: 108-115

Verdict: Averaged 114 from his last 8 games including finals, leads the competition for clangers per game with 4.2 which equates to 33.6 points lost per game due to clangers. I doubt he can reduce that too much because half his disposals are quick quicks out of packs but lowering will help his scoring. He'll be in my team at this stage, I think he will become freo's number one midfielder.

TeeJay

if he could jst clean up his disposal he would be a lock

Ricochet

Very close to a lock for me also. Quite a few underpriced premos in the mids so might be a struggle to fit him in, but I will definitely try

Footyrulz

Although it says than a clanger is -8 on the supercoach website...

That number is actually completely incorrect.

If u watch the field view of matches on gameday, u can see that a clanger is in fact just -3.

Therefore, that only equates to about 12 points lost every game.

That's not a huge number, and i think if he avoids injury, he will average 110+

12 points lost is actually quite a bit though if you think about it though. Every player has changers, it's a given, but say he cuts that in half it means he averaged 112 which is very very good.

Think Fyfe is only going to get better and can see him pumping out 115+ next year, taking over as number one at Fremantle.

Very consistent, and extremely hard to tag, everything that makes a good player aswell as fantasy scoring player.

Would've liked more 130+ like the other high scoring premos, but can't fault him. As Richochet has said, will be very hard too it him in, and not sure whether he'll become a top 8 scoring mid just yet, but he'll be on my radar, for sure.

One of my favourites along with Danger and Pendles! #Fyfffffffey

If he's under 550k, might try to fit him in. Will be very tough otherwise

I'm a huge fan of this guy, but as mentioned, the disposal can be killer. It's not even so much the loss of 12 points, but the mear fact their not effective or even ineffective (0 points). Not only is he losing the 12, but he could have potentially scored another 10-15 points - huge difference.

I really like this guy and if he gets in a full preseason and is under 599k will definitely be in the mix. Have set myself a set of new rules for next year. One is not to pay over 599k for any player at seasons start. many will argue that will involve falling behind early coz of no Gazza, Pendles, Swan Danger, Jelwood and others, but I disagree. Money spent on higher mid level players and then picking up the supreme prems cheaper also providing more cash for more upgrades MAY just turn the wheels of fortune back in my favour. Or of course I could be totally wrong, just looking for a different approach. Apart from having POD's it might be the time for SOD's - strategies of difference. Best of luck to all and please bring on 2014 for a feral oldfart footy tragic. Go Tiges.
:D :) ;)
