I can see that within a week or two of the byes finishing, many will have a team full of premos along with a pocket full of cash.

With so many trades this year i think this is where the game will change.... it's more than likely that the top prize will be decided by sideways trades to inform players during the last 5-6 weeks of the season.

New strategies will be needed from about rnd 15 i reckon.

Thoughts?

Mr.Craig

That pretty much sums it up. Going to be a battle of sideway trades.

I really want to see how many "premos" I can get so I might just keep upgrading to try get a premo in every slot and play Russian roulette with whose on my field! But in saying that it would probably be better for me to trade say Scotland to duffield sometime after round 15

is it just me?   but the unlimited trade thing is nowhere near as much fun as when you actually had to think about things.  you are probably right, as just about everyone will have the same top 15 players come rd15, and playing around at the edges after that...

honestly for the first time in years, i'm getting a bit bored with it..  :( :(

It could have been fun if it was harder to get premos like if players value didnt change by as much each week!

It's boring, my mate and I have 19 common players this week and 6 common on the bench!! It's literally
Roughie vs Franklin
Omeara vs Cotchin
Zorko vs a bye player

Not fun at all!

Yeah I agree. People that picked Jack and Barlow at the beginning of the year would be laughing at how awesome their unique picks were. Now come round 15, I can just see everyone having ablett/swan/pendles and then sideways trading their other premos to jack/barlow and the other inform mid (stanton?) and then everyone has the same team! Obviously you won't gain points on the leader this way, but if they are the highest scoring players, then there's not much you can do but bring them in

Pick different players then?

Do you have guys like Griffen and Barlow who are scoring better than more popular picks like Cotchin and Murphy? Hell, take out his sub game and Taylor Adams was averaging 100+ before last week. The challenge is to find uniques who will outperform the popular picks. Making the same team as everyone else isn't going to challenge you. Using your brain and taking a risk that could reap more rewards is far more challenging and rewarding when it pays off.

We both have Barlow and there is no point picking up Griffen over a Barlow, jack,S.Selwood as I don't think he will average over 100 because he gets tagged (tipping a macaffer blanketed score this week!!)

lol so much for that

its me lads

Griffen has highest score VS the tiger of 103 from like 13 games. If he gets 90+ this week then I'll bring him in I reckon.

love the scoring system of DT but really the 2 trades a week is a joke. for the second half of the season i was just going in on a friday and spending a few minutes just swapping premos for premos.

It was if all the strategy was taken out of the game and there were no consequences for your actions. They might as well have no salary cap and just pick a new squad each week.

I was hopinh it would be a complete failure (which it is) but it looks like most people out there enjoy the rules. But for the serious DTers widely hated. They will keep the rules I think and possibly make it even easier.

I dont know if I will do DT next year.
