At this stage I'm thinking I will only start with him if he gets a discount as Swan and pendles are locks.
Locking in Pendles? Really? He is definetly an upgrade target for me.

Yep. Started with him this season and will do the same next year. Averaged over 110 again.

Oh the same Beams that had zero preseason and didn't start playing until round 16 but still averaged 101...
The same Beams that bounced back with a 125 the following week after that 48...
For the record he still collected 19 possies for those 48 DT points so it wasn't a shocking game
And Pendles has had shockers too... 62DT against Blues last year being one of them
Don't forget Beams averaged 116 last year after zero preseason and after his first 3 "warm up" games he went on to average 122 for the rest of the year

Beams is a fantasy slut and Pendles will always cop the #1 tag before him. If both get a full preseason and both go through 2014 uninjured, Beams will average more

I agree with you that beams is a fantasy slut but I'm unlikely to start with 3 collingwood midfielders. Yes pendles will cop the #1 tag but he can handle it. A 48 in dt is shower for a premium midfielder no matter how many possies he gets in a non injury game.

Of the 3 pies mids the one I think I am not starting at the moment is Swan. He showed some worrying signs this year, playing forward for long patches especially in the middle of the year. Buckley has been clear in his desire to increase youth as shown by his aggressive delistings of didak and particularly jolly and krakouer, so I think that may relegate Swan to the forward line more often, bringing more sub 100 scores.

Pendles and Beams are the two to start with for me, bringing in swan later on.

My opinion was that Beams would be cheaper and average more than Pendles next year.
It doesn't matter if he gets a 48 (which is very unlikely to happen again) if he makes up for it in other games.

Ok.
I will be choosing the more expensive consistent and durable pendles.

Realising how that he will be cheap for what he's capable of, LOCK!
Was going to start with him this year . Lots of people might jump on though...
