Ok so looking at this team i find it still capable of delivering some good finals footy and still challenge for more premierships its no where near over YET.

Starting with the experience take a look at the good names still around

Bartel, Mackie, Varcoe, Taylor, Kelly, Lonergan, Selwood, Mcintosh, Johnson, Duncan, Rivers, Hawkins, Stokes and Enright

( Still a very good group considering the departures of Podsiadly, Corey, Chapman, Hunt and West

If you look at the Maturing and up and coming players this group is very very good ( Credit goes to mastermind Steven Wells)

Smedts, Mccarthy, Stringer, Schroder, Simpson, Hunt, Murdoch, Caddy, Christensen, Guthrie, Vardy, Berbury, Motlop, Horlin Smith, Walker, Thurlow, Blicavs, Brown

Then lastly the Untried Group:

Kolodjashnij, Lang, Bews, Jansen, Luxford, Hartman, Sheringham, Kersten, Toohey, Bourke, Bates, Hamling

Im very optimistic that this group will possess some good players i have already heard great things about Kersten how he can possibly be a Gunston type player which is good. Then i have also got faith that kolodjashnij, Hartman, Sheringham and Hamling are capable players.

As for the other untried's i don't know much about them but knowing Wells and his recruiting they'll probably turn out as champions.

I think for the Geelong Football Club in 2014 their is 5 factors that they need to have work

1: A fit Tom Hawkins
2: Someone to step up for Podsiadly
3: Someone to step up for Chapman
4: Someone to step up for Corey
5: A fit Ruck stock i.e. Mcintosh and Simpson

I think them five things will be fine anyway this is Geelong and they always bounce back when most think they don't i personally have them as a premiership favourite probably at $2.10 random guess

Grade of List: B+ ( good list i think we'll see some more youngsters get played next year including Kersten and we'll see more of Josh Cowan)

I'm with you guys i hate Hawthorn i will be happy if anyone stops them next year

bunyip

I have to agree. Last season we were 20 points ahead of the Hawks in the pre - lim without a quality ruckman, no Chappy, no Enright and a lame full forward. There is no doubt in my mind that if we were fit we would have won it last season. That's the way it goes though. I have high hopes this season.
