AFL Season Information & Off Season News
North Melbourne have re-signed promising ruckman Daniel Currie to a new contract that will see him remain at the Kangaroos until 2015. Currie attracted interest from opposing clubs but showed his loyalty by signing a new deal.

Currie is yet to debut for the Kangaroos after struggling with injury earlier in the year.

Capper

This sounds familar, similar to when he was at the Swans. Injuries holding him back and starring in the 2s

roo boys!

Like I said in the SC boards I'm actually quite surprised he re-signed, happy to have the signature but all along he's been insurance for Goldy as Daw/Mabon aren't ready to take on the #1 ruck mantle if he were to go down, I guess as tabs said he's satisfied to be playing in the magoos until something happens to Goldy.

With all the teams chasing ruck stocks and very surprised he chose to waste another year at NM.

He obviously aint in their plans unless things go wrong.

Tad surprising, would have been hot property

I'm still baffled to be honest. As others have said, he could have almost certainly found a new home where he would get regular game time.

If only... :(

Would have been so good for other clubs.
