Sam Mayes - Brisbane Lions

D.O.B: 20/4/1994 (aged 19)
Price: $300-350,000
Position: Midfielder

Games: 18
Average:72
Scores:

Summary: Sam Mayes is a hard working midfielder, who can push forward at times. Mayes was taken at pick 8 in the draft last year (2012) by the Lions, and is a key part to the future. There are reports that Mayes is home sick and wants to go back to his home town of Adelaide. Mayes will be a gun wherever he goes and is a future Brownlow Medalist.

Verdict: Could he suffer from second year blues? Will he be a pure mid? Where will he be playing? So many questions to ask. I don't think he'll be in my team whatever the circumstances next year.

Richo's Predicted Average: 75 If He stays at the Lions.

Not one for next year, maybe down the track.

Yeah for sure! Watch out for him though ;)

good pick up bythe Lions, and now you'd think there is a chance he will become a player....

as above not for next season but looks to have the ability to breakout proper and soon...

If? Surely he will not leave after one year?

If - if voss was still coach, you'd think he will stay now ;)

still can't wait to see polec average 90 next season at port, after even all the Lions fans have become convinced he is worthless.

amazing what difference a coach can make...

Will be helped by some of the potential exits perhaps. Probably will be a bit inconsistent, but I'd expect him to play all games and lock his spot down. Probably not for me this year.
