Harry Thrings take on our Round 1 2014 team:

B  Tom Jonas, Alipate Carlile, Cameron O'Shea
HB Jared Polec, Jackson Trengove, Jasper Pittard
C Kane Cornes, Brad Ebert, Matthew White
HF Robbie Gray, Justin Westhoff, Angus Monfries
F Chad Wingard, Jay Schulz, Jake Neade
R Matthew Lobbe, Travis Boak, Hamish Hartlett
INT Oliver Wines, Andrew Moore, Dom Cassisi
SUB Matthew Broadbent

Things I disagree are

- Polec is not a walk up start, unlike what I first said. Swap Broadbent (what is Thring smoking? :o) and Polec and replace Polec with Aaron Young
- I think Matt White and Moore are competing for the same spot.

I agree with all your changes KK

Polec's start to pre season has been pretty shocking so that might push him further down the pecking order, We have so much depth now in every position. Broady does not deserve to be the sub.

Since our first match is against Carlton we may look to target their lack of quality tall defenders so that may bring in one of Butcher or Mason Shaw for his first match at the expense of Neade.

Having Shaw/Butcher and Schulz the stay at home forwards this will mean Hoff can do what he does best roam around the ground and may even be a good fantasy option.

Do you see Mason Shaw getting games next year? Doesn't seem to have played a heap of senior league footy last year but I feel like he's the kind of guy that you would really benefit from having in the team to add something else to your forward line 8)

Had a decent season but was always going to be a challenge when he was drafted to South Adelaide who already had a number of key forwards playing for them. Spent most of the season in the SANFL reserves but when he got the chance to play in the SANFL he did some nice things.

I reckon Mitch Harvey will do the exact same thing as what Shaw did this year spend the entire year in the SANFL to make sure his fully ready for AFL.

Come 2015 a forward line of Schulz, Harvey, Shaw, Hoff, Neade, Newton is looking quite dangerous.
