Football Factory

Name:  JESSE LONERGAN

Age: 18

Born: November 14, 1994

Height: 183cm

Weight: 89kg

Drafted: Round 1, Pick #13 2012 National Draft

2013 Games: 4    Average: 50.5

2013 Scores: 50, 53, 77, 22

HISTORY:

Tough medium midfielder who attacks the ball aggressively and is clean with his ball handling and distribution. Has explosive power and is very competitive, always showing great intensity around the contest and strong second efforts. Nephew of Essendon midfielder Sam Lonergan. Had an interrupted preseason hurting his wrist in the Nab. Suffered a series of injuries during the season only managed 4 games.

Predicted price  $200.000 ?

SUMMARY:  Very highly rated at the Gold Coast, Jesse will look to put his injury affected first season behind him. With a full preseason and Nab i can see him playing 15+ games in 2014 it just depends on his price compared to other rookies in the 2014 draft. Will you pay a little extra for this guy if he has a ripper Nab ?

PLAYER PROFILE UPDATE:  24/12/2013... Lonergan is valued at $224,400 and is behind alot of other players in this price range.

I like this guy. But will he get games? GAJ, JOM, Prestia, Bennell, Martin

Good question, if fit and plays Nab i think he makes the team. Playing at Gold Coast helps his chances.

Similar sort of pick to koby stevens this year - a little more than rookie priced but with a couple more pre seasons than this years rookies. I will consider for sure if he can make the team round 1, as nrich said maybe JS is his main issue.

Yep, likely awkward price. Difference with Koby is he'd played a few games and gone fairly big at WC and so there was a good potential return.

I'm wondering the same as nrich - where does he fit within that up and coming midfield.

I agree, had Stevens and Embley and they were bad picks. See how his Nab goes. I think he makes the Gold Coast team if fit, theres a lot of teams with massive midfields and they all still play and score well.

Colliwobblers

cant wait to see him play more but it wont be in any of my fantasy teams for the projected price there will be plenty of better options at basement pricing.

more importantly... does he fit in our midfield?
Martin is locked in. What other rookie options do we have in our midfield?
Aish is another draftee
