Oh dear, Badgers out in straight sets! Looks like they can't handle the pressure of finals.

Hedgehogs make the prelims from 8th, get behind us boys! ;)

Bombers made it from 6th and we knocked off 2nd place the Hoods GET AROUND US!

8th beating 4th and 6th beating 2nd. Its the same thing! ;)

Finals week 2 have been completed

We have seen some very exciting matches in both the Semi-finals and The Knock Out Plate.
In the semifinals we have seen the 2nd and 4th Teams eliminated in aa surprise result.
So this week we say good bye to these teams who can start preparing for season 2014: Nottingham Hoods, Bradford Badgers, Newcastle Falcons, Swindon Swaggers, Leeds Leeches and Manchester Magic,

Semi-final Matches
Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs 25.11.161 defeated Bradford Badgers 23.13.151
The Hedgehogs in a somewhat surprise result defeated the Badgers who were coming of a string of strong victories. The Badgers midfield really saved one of their worst performances for this semifinal with Captain Ryan Griffen, and Trent Cotchin both putting in their worst performances of the season. The Hedgehog midfield led by Scott Selwood and Captain Brent Stanton capitilised on this producing great ball to their forward line who maintained scoreboard pressure. The Badgers back line could not contain this pressure which was compounded by injury to in form defender Pearce Hanley. Hedgehog defender Dannyle Pearce saved his best game for the semifinal and led the Hedgehog defence to repel the Bagers attacks. The Hedgehogs now face the Breakers who were not that overly impressive in the qualifying final and will like their chances to progress to the Grand Final.
Best Players:
Hedgehogs: Scott Selwood, Dannyle Pearce, Parker, Greene, Stanton
Badgers: Barlow, Mayes, Puopolo, White Minson

Birmingham Bombers 25.19.169 defeated Nottingham Hoods 21.15.141
Late changes: David Mackay replaced Chris Masten for the Hoods and Dean Brogan replaced Jack Ziebell for the Bombers.
In another shock the Bombers easily accounted for the Hoods who had finished second on the ladder. The Hoods at times appeared disinterested and this resulted in a very sloppy performance. For the 3rd week running Captain Gary Ablett put in a below par performance and this seemed to flow through the team. The Hoods were set back with an early injury to giant ruckman Aaron Sandilands which resulted in him being replaced. This allowed the Bombers ruck Zac Clarke to completely dominate the Midfield led by Bernie Vince providing good service to the forward line with Jordan Lewis taking full advantage to maintain scoreboard pressure.  Scott Pendlebury tried to lift the Hoods but lacked support and with Hamish Hartlett and Andrew Mackie marshaling the Bombers defence the Hoods were given few opportunities to match the score board pressure put on by the Bombers. The Bombers will now face the daunting challenge of taming the Werewolves who finished top of the table in the preliminary final.
Best Players:
Bombers: Vince, Clarke, Mackie, Lewis, Murphy
Hoods:   Pendlebury, Hodge, Dunn. Sewell, Walker
