This week is tough for trades and really requires forward thinking. Im in a lucky position where I have a bye week so it isn't as important this week and means I can put myself in a strong trading position for next week.

Here are my trade ideas for this week...

Have $32,800 in the bank. Current mids and forwards;
Mids - Swan, Pendles, Ablett, Barlow, Griffen, Stanton, Cotchin, Beams - Emerg - R. Gray, Carter.
Fwds - D. Martin, Rockliff, Bartel, Kennedy, Stokes, Johnson - Emerg - T. Lee, B. Kennedy.

Option 1 - Stanton to Watson, Bartel to N. Roo (Leaves $23,900)
Option 2 - Gray to Lewis Johnston through DPP, Bartel to N. Roo leaves $209,800
Option 3 - Gray to Lewis Johnston (DPP), Stanton to J. Selwood $125,500.
Option 4 - T. Lee to Lewis Johnston, Bartel to N. Roo leaves $90,300

I think the weak links are Bartel and Stanton at the moment but not sure which way to go this week. Seeing as I have the bye round I think its best to make one downgrade. But if I need cash next week I can just do Nichols or Clisby to a cheap rookie. What ya reckon?

Boyd is listed as a test. If he is named will change things slightly (Will bring him in over Selwood)

I gotta be honest, when I saw N. Roo vs. Sydney I thought I would hold off a week but he scored 153 earlier in the year against them... Last 3 are Sydney, Gold Coast and Freo.

J. Selwood looks to have a tough run home with West Coast, Sydney and Brisbane. He is in great form and hasn't scored too bad against those opponents but can he keep it up with finals in the back of his mind (i.e. trying to keep fresh for September).

Watson and Stanton have North Melbourne, Carlton and Richmond. We know Stants can score through the roof (which he did against Richmond, but fell through the floor vs. Carlton earlier in the season) but Watson looks good at the moment.

I'd hold on to Stanton over Bartel. Bartel is playing back pocket and has been for the last two weeks = 60s.  Stanton should at least get around the 100 mark. I'd do option 2 if i were you.
