Looks like he's out of form atm. Do you guys think it would be worth trading him to Jelwood or Griff ?? How will he

respond to his 1 week suspension ??

zeddyzed

Averages close to 110 against North, so im keeping him. He'll lose $$$ but that doesnt matter at this time of year, i expect him to come home strong after his rest

Who would you bench out of Jimmy and Buddy?

Artax

I think Jimmy will really get his piece out against North but if Jesse White kicks 4 on Richmond Buddy could kick... 1 million

nostradamus

He'll be trying to make it up to his teamates for being rubbed out........definately keep him

*look at how StevieJ came back everytime after being outed

If you can trade him to Selwood I would do that, Selwood all outscored Bartel 9 times out of 10....

If there's nothing else that needs doing in your team, I think it's a wise move. Bartel is not playing the midfield saviour for geelong anymore.

Yep, gotta be worth ditching the dual position link with your forward line if you can go Bartel -> Jelwood. That's what I'm doing, Jelwood is a must particularly with Swallow out of the Roos midfield.

It does sound nice. But last 3 v North:

North Melbourne    Etihad Stadium    2013    2    105
North Melbourne    Etihad Stadium    2012    3    91
North Melbourne    Skilled Stadium    2011    7    91

Decent sure, but not a 110 average. The most recent outing v North was without Stevie J as well and he needed a goal after the siren to ton. North don't give up DT points easily this season. I don't have much confidence in him and it's a risk holding with a 143 breakeven. Can just trade him back in if he bounces back, likely at a lower price..?

Would that be due to Josh Caddy getting regular starts do you think? I haven't seen enough of Geelong recently to know, but Caddy only played 1 game between rounds 6-13 when Bartel was going well. Caddy returns for round 14 and hasn't missed a match since, Bartel starts spudding from round 15. Maybe Varcoe's return having a small impact as well?
