Hi guys. Playing the number 1 team this week in cash league and need a win to secure a top 4 finish - currently in 4th place but 1,2 and 3 all just 1 win ahead, I'm easily clear for #1 on percentage if they all cop a loss.

Team
D: Goddard, Heater, Gibbs, Ibbo, Hanley, Goodes (Clisby, Webster)
M: GAJ, Pendles, Swan, Griffen, JPK, Priddis, Mundy, T.Mitch (Mayes, KMart)
R: NicNat, Nicholls (Rowe, Osborn)
F: SJ, Bartel, Rocky, JJK, Cox, Buddy (Staker, Daniher)

5 trades, 383k to spend.

I'm thinking for Goodes I will swap Staker into the backs and bring in a forward rather than swap for another back, Also not sure whether to hold on to NicNat given that I have Nicholls and T.Mitch still playing.
Next week T.Mitch might become Barlow I think, I wondering if Nicholls is good enough to keep as a R2 for the season...

Was thinking of trading in Walker and Roughy, both have been going well and have pretty reasonable runs home. Considering Dustbin and Boomer too but Boomer is priced pretty high and has a bit of a tough run, and I don't really trust Dustbin. Roughy has a high-ish BE but playing well.

So, Goodes and NicNat to Walker and Roughy, Next week T.Mitch to Barlow and then sit tight, 2 trades and ~50k plus Nicholls at R2 for finals. Yay or nay?

Cheers for your thoughts...

PS if I bring in 2 forwards it will mean Buddy going to the bench, not sure if that's worth it but it's what I'm looking at...

Think that plan sounds really good!

I would personally trade NicNat for sure. At least get him out before he loses too much value. Roughead seems like a solid option, or maybe even Leuenberger who is a fraction cheaper? The Lions have a great run home as well.

Nicholls should also be fine as an R2 for finals as Gold Coast have a dream run. But if you have 50-60k you could always swap him out for someone once he reaches 450k (if he struggles)

Good luck!

I reckon with Bartel now out for a week. Nic Nat to Minson
Then as you said move Staker down back for Goodes and turn Goodes into Roughie or Walker.

I would consider just the one trade this week.

Goodes to Grimes.

Save your trades for finals.

Forward outs covered if Buddy plays.

Mids are fine.

NicNat is the only other potential problem. If you want to move him on, do it now.

Good luck and send us some of your winnings

Goddes to either of the Hendersons (Ricky or Lachie) allows you to switch Staker back and have additional Forward coverage. Reassess though if Buddy does not play and Daniher not named.

Nat has a B/e this week as well so if you want to move him on would do this week as well. Just get the best ruck you can afford if doing this.

Thanks guys

Ringo I'm pretty sold on shifting Staker back, not so worried about a D/F swingman - need to max points!

Could bring in Minson and Roughy, seems a little wasteful as they are both about to drop in price but that's not the main focus I guess. Roughy gives me a second R/F swingman (Cox up front and Rowe in R3 currently).

Leaves me with 208k and 3 trades.

Any better choices? Goldy rather than Minson? Both Minson and Goldy have tough runs home though, hence I liked Roughy and Walker to start with...

Which Essedon defender gets Roughy - Carlisle is pretty good.

Like Walker and Roughy though.

Ringo

In that case like the Roughy and Walker Trades,  Another suggestion though but takes away the R/F Flexibility is Berger for Nat.  Brisbane have a very handy draw and Berger will be sole ruck.

Thanks guys, will see how naming goes and go from there.

Doc, if I win then flick me on your bank details and I'll sort you out. Ringo you too - just remember to give me the answers to any security questions you might have - something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LA3zhzT1wDo
