Ross Lyon has flagged the possibility that Anthony Morabito will not return to competitive football this season.

The 21-year-old midfielder has not appeared in an AFL fixture since he played 23 games in his debut 2010 season.

tbh I'd rather him wait out the season and get through a solid preseaon. Then ease into 2014 with some practice matches, NAB Cup and then Round 1

Morabito is actually out of contract at the end of this season.... but good news is on the way with Freo likely to sign him to a 1 year contract
