Bench cover assistance

Long time browser and your posts have been very informative and funny at times . Thank you !
Finally decide to post a topic as I need advice on who's points they add to your overall score when you have 2 subs for the same position but only 1 is required. Currently I have B Kennedy and B Goodes on my mids bench with Kennedy being the sub. If I changed Goodes with Vlastuin from def and put the E on Vlastuin as we'll do they count the sub with highest score ?
