Thoughts

Adelaides first round pick from 2010 showed glimpses of a great layer in the making in 2011. He showed why he was taken at such a high pick, and in my mind is one of the most promising SuperCoach defenders emerging through the AFL ranks at the moment.

In 3 years this kid could be your D1, and is a bloke I'm considering as a smokey down back. I think he'll be good for around an 80 average, with the potential to average more than that. I'd hoped he would be a little bit cheaper so that it wasn't as much of a risk, but at 350k taking a punt on the kid in 2013 is a bold move - One that could easily come back to burn you.

If it does turn out well though he'd be a great point of difference, and could be a valuable asset for those tight league games where your teams are 90% the same.



Verdict

Props to you if you're ballsy enough to pick him up. I think he's going to be coming in and out of my team all preseason just like Gaff and Sloane did this preseason.

Yeh I like him a lot but don't have the courage to pick him for that price.

I like Smith and his 3rd,year might be when he breaks out. He scored 83 and 116 in the first 2 finals this year

I think he presents pretty good value at 350k.  If Fanplanner's prices are further off than predicted I might just downgrade a premium to him.
