With the suns on the rise and his new role as an inside mid what are people's thoughts on him. I'm considering him as an option rather than Stanton. Sounds rediculous but after stantons second half to last year the question needs to be asked.

Windigo

Gotta go with Stanton, Prestia has been good. But isn't in the same league as Stanton or other premo mids TBH...

starz

I have this funny feeling about him producing similar numbers of dayne beams from last year.

Artax

There has to be a tonne of nerves about Stants after what he pulled last year.

Prestia is good and could be a gun in years to come, but he's nowhere near premo status. Not worth the risk right now especially when proven premos are under 500k atm.

Stanton's junk possessions are dependant on essendon playing well.
If essendon continue the way they are going, and there's no reason to suggest that they can't/won't, then he will continue to score well and rack up cheap possessions.

Also, he is less likely to cop a tag this year compared to last year because goddard is now in the team and will surely get a tag before stants.

Get on him boys! I've had him since r3 and have never looked back.

Mr.Craig

Prestia has a higher average than Cotchin, Deledio, Sidebottom, Murphy, Redden, Boyd, Heppell, Rockliff, JPK, O'keefe or Ebert.

In the last fortnight he has scored 117 and 136 against the two top sides in the comp.

As an M8 POD you could do a lot worse.

Mmmmmmmm... reckon I might start him next year...

Loved having him his debut season, smoky for next season!!

starz

nearly already has more points then stanton

Never seen Prestia before until tonight. Thought he was one of the trainers in the warm up. Doesn't look like your typical AFL midfielder.

starz

Looking very tasty. Would have been an awesome unique. Oh well if rather stantons 50

Could give you a massive edge for the rest of the season but could also potentially destroy you. I think he'll average high 90's for the entire season, can't say what he'll do in the last 10. Between Prestia and Stants despite Stants and the risk he has entailed after witnessing past seasons, Dion is still a much riskier choice. I can see where your going though ;) I'm tossing up between Kane Cornes, Kieren Jack or Richard Douglas (had him from the start in fantasy elite and has been fantastic) for M8 in my side as well :) I think he has the potential but if you pick him you'll have to hope he achieves it

Yeh I chose stants as he can go bang and really really high when he wants to. I'm considering putting the c on him next week as he is playing gc who don't seem to tag

Yeah Stanton was just unlucky against Carlton, they seem to have an abundance of taggers Ellard (sometimes), Curnow, Carrots (possibly the worst tag you can get along with Clinton Jones), Armfield, Cachia (looks like he'll probably start as well) and sometimes even Robbo and Scotland they are not an ideal team to go up against for a major ball winner and especially not a dt slut :-\
