This must make you Tiger fans happy.  Along with Newman and pushup signing for a further year. Starting to keep a strong team together.

Very happy, still need Jack and Martin though.

Great to have these young stars locked in! And the oldies, four very important signatures!

I'm pretty confident Jroo & Martin will put pen to paper soon :)

I'm very confident they will  ;D
Stoked to hear Vlastuin and Ellis have put pen to paper. Important parts of our future.

Congrats all Tigers fans, two very good contract extensions.  ;)

Fantastic to hear! Gonna be stars for us in the years to come.  8)

I'm still annoyed by these Jack to GWS rumours, the guy bleeds yellow and black, surely he won't leave...  ???

Big money changes everything mate, look at Gazza. I think im a very loyal person but if someone was to throw a massive amount of cash my way for my services I honestly can't answer what I would do, I would certainly think about it you would be silly not to as your career can end at any point in time playing AFL footy. For you and all fans and the Tigers I hope he stays but the dollars available at the minute in football has put a large amount of the loyalty factor on the back burner. The guys that do knock it back earn a massive amount of respect from all myself included but unfortunately respect will not buy you anything or set you up for life.

True Grazzy but gotta look at the calibre of the player - Jack Riewoldt is the kind of guy that's a bit like a Scott Pendlebury/Matty Pavlich/Matty Boyd/Jono Brown IMO, bleeds for their club no chance of leaving. Guys like Buddy & Daisy on the other hand... I wouldn't be so confident they'll stick around at their clubs for ever. :-\

Yeah, people thought that about GAJ and Goddard as well. Heck, Gary had grown up at Geelong and to be honest I feel like Goddard still loves St Kilda. But both of them are now playing for different clubs.

I think Jack will stay, but anything can happen.

Toga

Yeah that's very true Ax you're not wrong there. But I think their circumstances were a bit different - Gaz had achieved everything he could at Geelong, and took up a once in a lifetime opportunity up at the suns, while BJ I feel as you say does still love the Saints but he just wants to put that last string in his now that he wouldn't have been any chance of doing at STK - a premiership medal..

You guys are right, anything can happen... But id be hugely surprised if either left.

I have no doubt he bleeds Black and Gold mate, never doubted where his heart is but as Sid said you would of felt the same about Gazza and Geelong infact the majority of folk would of felt the same before Gold Coast came on the scene that more of Geelong was in Gazza with family history than Richmond in JRoo without trying to be disrespectful or a smart @rse towards the Richmond faithful and how they feel about Jack. Money especially big money changes everything sadly but a fact of life. When someone offers you roughly double your income for the same output it would be hard to resist regardless of how loyal you are. As I said no disrespect intended to you or the fans or Jack for that matter just calling it as I see it and life. :)

i thought it was believed Goddard was unhappy at St Kilda

Neither jack or Martin will leave. Martin already turned down a pile of cash from he's before his last signing, the club have stuck by him through a lot. He will repay the faith. And as for jack, he will be a tiger for life. He's a passionate player and has endured the tough times and would be silly to leave right on the brink of success. Expect both to sign before seasons end

I reckon you hit the nail on the head there TJ, so close to success now and for a few years to come one would think finals will be a reality over that time which we would offset the amount of cash thrown at them whereas Gazza had already tasted the ultimate success with the Cats before leaving, good point mate.
