German club Bayern Munich have announced that former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola will take over
as their manager at the end of the season.

The 41-year-old - who had been linked with Chelsea and Manchester City - has signed a three-year contract to 2016. Guardiola will replace current boss Jupp Heynckes, who will retire.

The Spaniard has been on a season-long sabbatical since leaving the Nou Camp in May 2012 after winning 14 trophies - including two Champions League titles.

Mass respect to the guy. Absolute legend, and although I hate his guts (I'm a lifelong Arsenal supporter) he's deadset one of the greatest personalities in the history of the sport. Won't be the same without him on the sidelines!
