The Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars squad for the 2013 Womens Ashes Series in England will be announced in Sydney.

Sam Almaliki, an Iraqi refugee who first experienced cricket at Villawood Detention Centre, has been appointed as Cricket Australia's new Community Engagement Manager.

Mr Almaliki, a former Iraqi refugee, and until recently a Commissioner on the NSW Community Relations Commission, assumes the role in Cricket Australia
