hi guys

do you reckon kayler-thomson will get a game at the hawks???

as for $77G and a score of 93(DT) he could be a great cash cow.

MrRiosWan

depends on how long C. Young is out but I reckon hes definitely showed enough to play games this year. Cool head and a clean long kick.

It would be nice at that price and only a Hawk fan in the know would be able to tell you more. But from what I saw last night Hawthorn decided to throw in a heap of rookies and probably lost the game because of it but kudos to them as this is the comp to do it in. Kayler-Thomson, Stratton, Breust, Petersen, Sierakowski, Savage and Grimly all played so that tells you what they were doing. Although JKT played well I suspect he (and the rest) wont be there come round 1.

Ok, so there probably isn't enough room for him in the Hawk midfield. You've got Mitchell, Hodge, Lewis, Bateman, Sewell and Burgoyne who if all fit are in front of him. Then you have the B grade midfielders such as Muston, Ellis, Tuck, Osbourne who haven't shown anything special to this stage.

AFL teams generally like to have 6 players rotating through the middle, so there probably isn't room for him there...but, I do think there is a nice cushy HBF position waiting for him in the place of Brent Guerra. If Hawthorn stay true to their word and play the players who deserve a spot through good form, then JKT should be there.

The back 6 for the Hawks (as written by AFL.com.au) should look like this come round 1.

B: Brent Guerra, Stephen Gilham, Josh Gibson
HB: Grant Birchall, Ryan Schoenmakers, Rick Ladson

Now, we can lock in Gilham, Birchall, Gibson...and most probably Schoenmakers at the moment. Ladson is struggling for form big time and I never really rated him when he was at his best anyway...just a solid player in an awesome team. And who knows what Guerra is doing, nothing from what i have seen so far.

The only other problem I see is, who will make room for him on the senior list? Only one I can think of is Clint Young, is there anyone else?

S4, I'm surprised at you saying just 1 NAB cup game. You know better than that!

I'm rather new to this forum, and am constantly pleased with what you write - it is a good source of information not to follow!  ;)
