Keen to have some help with my sc side. What do u think
Backs: Goddard H. Shaw Goodwin Enright Kennelly Hunt McGuire ( Davis,Webberly)

Mids: Swan Bartel Boyd Redden Trengove Martin (Barlow,Banner)
Rucks: Jolly Naitanui ( Warnock,McNamara)

Fwds: Fevola Johnston Higgins Franklin Tippett Cloke Ziebell (Dennis-Lane,Pods)

Got $40,000 Left and pleased to have some suggestions.

Mate I disagree with Navyblue. 5/10 for me.

McGuire??? What im hearing is he wont start the season. Downgrade Goddard, try Malceski and use the money to upgarde Mcguire to Ladson or Greenwood. See what you can get for his the cash.

Im really not keen on Redden, IMO he wont improve that much this year. Get Masten instead.

Fev??? Unless you saw something that im sure nobody else did in the last couple of games. Pav might do you better at about the same price.

Is that Brad Johnson???? If it is I would go for ROK instead.

Cloke im sure wont be that good of a pick up this year. Wont improve at all. Look at getting Hall. Looked great the other night.

If you downgrade Goddard you should have enough cash to do all of that.

thanks for feedback Bestguykai,it is most appreciated. I'll take on board what u said re Goddard and McGuire. Understand the point u made and it's a .good one although I'm a huge Goddard fan. He's reliable, plays everywhere makes a great captain and is in a top side plus he is a M/F as well...and isn't it nice Carlton missed him.However if your right and McGuire dosen't play I'll take your advice. Masten for Redden? I think Redden will have a huge year, Masten's a beauty to. It's Stevie J. I'm also a big Cloke fan. Copeland Trophy winner can run, tackle, mark, pick up possessions and kick goals ( best to shut your eyes when he kicks) whereas Hall I think needs to kick plenty of goals to get a decent score. Again thanks for your effort in offering your opinion. It's good to see the side from another's point of view.....go pies!!!

Not good at all. I would rate it 5/10 at best.

No Ablett is a very bad call. Select Ablett and you dont have to worry about your Captain choice each week.

Redden is a complete unknown. You are better off selecting an underpriced premium, e.g Cooney as your 4th midfielder.

Forward line is very suspect. Enjoy the Fev rollercoaster, one week he will score over 100 but the next few weeks he will be lucky to score over 50.

Cloke wont be upgraded to the main list. I am a Port supporter and Hitchcock will be elevated first in place of Rodan.

Johnson from the Bulldogs??? Obviously you dont follow the golden rule of not selecting players over the age of 30. More chance of breaking down the older you get, the same applies with Goodwin.

I am being honest, your team is really going to struggle. You really need to be scoring 2000 pts from round 1 to have any chance and this team wont even come close to that

thanks for your comments Steve01 however a few points need to be made. I'd love Ablett but there's the problem of $744,200. Cooney for Redden? There's a diff of $171,000. Fevola averaged last year 93 s/ c points,no one kicked more goals than him for the year and he took 47 contested marks... and he played every game. I've never picked him before but now he is not a carlton player perhaps I can be a bit more objective (lol)...and facts are facts. The Johnson I have is Stevie J from Geelong not from the doggies. and finally regarding Goodwin I picked him because he was All Australian last year finished top 3 in his clubs B&F averaged 104 S/C points and played19 games and is a class act..sounded ok to me. And the cloke I have is Travis from collingwood not his brother Cameron. Had average year last year and still averaged 74. He's a bargain. Thanks for your help.5/10? looks loke back to drawing board

Sorry buddy, I thought it was Cameron too. Travis on the other hand, even though im a pies supporter, its still a risky move. He is so up and down. He has a good game and follows it up with a bad one. I hope he works out for you though. We will be better off if he does. Pies in 2010.

i would give it 8/10 very much disagree with some comments. i would definitly keep goddard and cloke is sure to improve he will get so much of the ball even if he cant kick stragith for goals he will get points! reddden for masten would be good other wise it isnt too bad, dunno about maguire either, maybe 7/10

Goddards just about my first picked and as I said I'm a great Cloke fan. 6' 5'' and can run mark and a great tackler and I think still only 21. McGuire worries me to but at $114,000 will be a terrific buy if he plays. Apparently played ok last Friday against Carlton. Redden or Masten? Both are going to be wonderful players but gee Redden looks special, played the last 8 games last year, scored 100 D/T points in 2 of them and played a blinder in the first NAB cup game. This kid at $313,100 is a steal. Ah dont u love footy.I'll fiddle with the side a bit and post again appreciate your comments
